About Me
Hello! My name is Carrie and I live right in the centre of West Kirby. I am a registered childminder with an Ofsted-certified childminding agency.
With 26 years of classroom experience as a qualified teacher, it is second nature for me to spark, and extend, the children’s interests, imagination and learning through play. The children in my care will receive the individual support and attention they need to flourish and we will have an incredible amount of fun as we learn together.
I am qualified as a Level 3 Beach Schools Practitioner so we will regularly be on the beach learning about the different things that we spot, experiencing the tides and weather, caring for the environment, and learning about safety.
Although I have a garden, I am just a stone’s throw away from 4 great parks, Grange and Caldy Hill, and of course the beach. Ashton Park has swings and climbing frames, and there are vast spaces to race, chase, explore and have quiet picnics. We are going to make some fantastic memories, and have lots of adventures, all around West Kirby.
My Experience
I am a qualified teacher and taught Nursery and Reception (F2) classes at a large 3 form entry primary school in London for 20 years. I returned to the Wirral and taught for 6 years at a Nursery School. I enjoy planning playful learning activities for children and have worked as a freelance Curriculum Planner writing STEM lesson plans, for 3-6 year olds.
As well as my teaching experience, I am an Aunty to 5 fantastic children and love spending time caring for them, playing and going on great adventures together.

As an agency childminder I have access to continued professional development training.
My Availability
My home nursery is open between the hours of 8am – 6pm.
I have one after school place available for a child 5+; pick up from West Kirby Primary School.
