About Me

Hello,

I'm Caroline (36) and I miss working with children! I love teaching them, watching them grow and bringing them joy by playing and reading with them! I used to be a Nursery Room Leader for a few years and now work in language development research.

I’ve got a Forest School qualification and am a big believer in outdoor and sensory learning, physical movement and freedom for children to explore. My approach is intuitive to what the child needs and always warm (and firm in a kind way when it needs to be).

Here is some short info about me :)

-10+ years experience working with young children as nursery room leader (focus on 2-4 yr olds) as well as au pairing and babysitting (experience of taking care of children in home environment).
- full-time researcher for child development at University of York, and previously Oxford
- MSc Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience
- BA (Hons) Childhood Studies

I’d be happy to provide back-up, ad hoc or planned support - I’ve got a full-time remote job and can be flexible to some extent.

I will always suggest a meet-up or at least a call first so you can get to know me as a person a bit - ultimately, you need to be comfortable with the person who is looking after the most precious thing in your life!
