About Me
I am a warm, nurturing and experienced degree level childminder, I am looking to support a family with their child care needs, while working around my own children aged 9 and 12. My youngest child is on the autistic spectrum so I have plenty special needs experience.
From my years of parenting and working I have over a decade worth of ideas and experiences to inspire your family with.
I believe in nurturing children's independence while creating safe boundaries to encourage resilience and confidence.
I am Edinburgh born and bred. I spend my spare time enjoying long walks, reading and dabbling with arts and crafts.
My Experience
I have over 11 years experience working in private nurseries and charity playgroups and nannying. I am also a mum of 2 girls who are aged 9 and 12
My Qualifications
I have an HNC in childhood practice and I am working towards a BA in childhood practice at Edinburgh University. I am first aid, child protection and food hygiene trained also.
As I work in partnership with Edinburgh council I have completed their Childminder training and I attend month meetings to ensure continued best practice.
My Availability
Most of the children I care for are coming to me as their parents wish them to socialise. I have a lot of experience settling in children who have never been away from their parents or family. I have a warm and caring approach that puts little ones at ease.
My own children are on the autistic spectrum and have other needs, so I try to work while they are at school so I can give my all as a childminder and as a mother. if you need longer hours than school hours please get in touch. I would love to chat about how I can help your family out.
I am a partner provider childminder with City of Edinburgh Council, which will allow families to use their 1140 funded childcare.
I am a member of tax free childcare scheme.

I want to begin this review by saying you could not find a lovelier, more capable, professional and all look round wonderful nanny than Caroline. If you are considering childcare then snap her up as quickly as you can! Caroline helped us out with childcare mid week for a few weeks as we waited for our new Nursery to open. My little girl who is naturally shy and hesitant took to Caroline immediately. This is testament to Caroline’s warm caring nature which, supported by her immense knowledge and experience with little people, makes her a really wonderful nanny. Caroline is just one of those special people you meet once in a blue moon. I felt completely comfortable leaving my 19 month old in her care, she was happy, stimulated and had the best time. She was also a wealth of knowledge in relation to some minor ailments my wee one had. She is genuinely interested in children and you can tell she loves her work. We loved the little updates and pictures she sent of fun times had. We will definitely be contacting Caroline again to see if she can help out with babysitting in future (if she is free!) and feel lucky and privileged our wee one got to spend the time with her that she did.

Caroline immediately settled into our family routine. Our kids bonded with her straight away and she has effortlessly become someone who we trust and respect. She is calm, capable and steady. We are grateful to have found her and delighted she has been able to help as a part time nanny.

Caroline was fantastic, everything you'd want from a babysitter. It was really reassuring that she has all the childcare experience and qualifications, but what really mattered was that my children felt completely comfortable with her which gave me the confidence to go out and enjoy myself without having to think twice about how they were. My children love spending time with Caroline, and I would recommend her to anyone.

Caroline looked after my son when he was at private nursery pre-school and I was always impressed by her. I was delighted when she started her own Childcare business and we can now use her for private babysitting.
She is kind, caring and fun and both my children (5,2) were very happy with us leaving when she was here - even my 2 yr old who hadn’t met her. she’s fully qualified ELC, first aid etc, not to mention a mother herself. And most of all she’s not texting you at 10.30pm asking when you’ll be home…like my previous sitter (my dad!)
I had a blast when we were out, and barely worried about the kids at all, knowing they were in such safe hands.
They keep asking when we are going out again…😍 we’ll definitely take them up on that soon!

Caroline helped us out for 3 days when we needed an emergency nanny at short notice when our nursery closed. My 4 year old son liked her straight away, she took him on a local walk, on a bus trip to Gorgie Farm, to the park and spent hours playing with him with his toys, drawing, reading books etc Would recommend and would use again. Thanks Caroline!
