About Me
We are a family of 3 (about to be 4!) based in Headington. We are very hands on with our 4.5 year old (in our free time we prioritize creative play, outdoor time, family time, no screens/overstimulating activities) but as two busy doctors we are eager to find some help! We are looking for a caring and dedicated nanny who will be able to help in the running and organisation of our family life, which is about to get a lot more chaotic with the addition of baby No2 in May. This will include getting our older child ready in the morning, bringing him to school and picking him up later in the day. We'd also like some help with general baby care for the youngest (naps, changes, feeds, walks, baby activities etc)
My Requirements
Start date: 1 August 2026 (open to earlier or later start dates if needed)
Duties:
During term time - Help get the oldest ready in the morning then bring him to school around 8 am (locally in Headington), and pick him up after school (around 3 pm if no after school club, around 5pm if he's enrolled in a club). Note, from 1 Aug-28 Aug this will be going to nursery rather than school, around 8 am with pick up around 5 pm, also locally in Headington). Both are walkable although school is around 40 mins on foot.
Help with general baby care for 3m old for a few hours/day. Very flexible on when, as this is just to give mum a break for things like showers, life admin, etc so this can work around your schedule. Ideally one day between Mon-Wed, another day Thurs or Fri, and then a third day of your choosing. Scope for increasing up to full time care as baby gets older.
During school holidays- Depending on holiday clubs for oldest, 2 or 3 full days/week 8am - 6pm – this can be discussed in advanced and tailored to your preferences. This also applies to the two weeks prior to starting school but after finishing nursery (28 Aug - 9 Sep)
Scope also for ad-hoc help at the weekends.
In total, around 20h/week with more during school hols and scope to increase
Requirements:
In-role, age-specific experience required and strong references
DBS and paediatric first-aid training in place
Excellent communication skills
A confident driver is required, ideally with own car
