About Me
Hello, I'm Mariana!
I recently moved to Hastings after 11 years in London to slow down and build a deeper relationship with the community and the sea.
For the past 4 years in London, I worked as a nanny, being especially devoted for 3 years to a family with two girls. I realized then that I want to keep working with children and that I thrive when creating genuine, deep human connections and doing meaningful work. What I focus on most as a nanny is developing a trustworthy relationship with the children I look after, as well as learning their distinct ways of communicating and relating to the world, helping them to see and grow their potential and, of course, a lot of play!
I'm now looking for a new family to offer my support as a part-time nanny, while I also expand my care services to adults with special needs and elders.

My Experience
For the past four years in London, I have worked as a dedicated nanny, an experience that has strengthened my patience, responsibility, and nurturing nature. I worked as an after-school nanny for kids aged 6 to 12. My main duties were: School pick-up; organizing relaxing activities and playtime with kids; cooking nutritious meals; assisting children with homework and their after-school routines; helping them to cope with difficult emotions and life challenges; promoting children's independence in their day-to-day routine.
Back in 2014, I volunteered for 6 months in an orphanage in Mozambique, a challenging experience that taught me to adapt to rough living conditions, to open up to a completely different way of being, and to grow resilient.
My Qualifications
Alongside childcare, I trained as a coach, an experience that deeply enhanced my active listening skills and my ability to support individuals in finding their own inner strengths and resources.
My Availability
I'm quite flexible in terms of times/days of the week, as long as the travel distance is short. In addition, I can do the occasional babysitting.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.50 per hour
- Nannying from £14.50 per hour (gross)
