Hello! We're Rhianne and Lou, and together we run Bluebells & Blossoms Childminding close to the centre of Sittingbourne. We have thoughtfully designed our setting to create a warm, nuturing, home-from-home environment dedicated to early years learning and development. The downstairs of the house is child-centred and carefully planned to support the Early Years Foundation Stage whilst encouraging children to learn through play, exploration and meainingful experiences. Rhianne is a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator with additional qualifications including Level 3 Early Years Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Lou is a qualified Primary School Teacher with many years of experience supporting children's learning and development. This really supports children in our setting prepare to be 'school ready'. Why Childminding? After many years working in childcare, education and early years settings, we both share a vision of creating a more family-oreiented environment where children can recieve the individual attention they deserve whilst still benefiting from rich learning experiences and opportunities.
Bluebells & Blossoms was founded in February 2022 and has continued to grow and evolve into the nuturing setting it is today. We are passionate about continuallly reflecting on and improving our practice to ensure children remain enagaged, inspired and excited to learn.
Our approach is influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and we pride ourselves on our parent partnerships. We believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to explore, investigate and follow their own intests within a carefully prepared environment.
At Bluebells & Blossoms, every child is valued as an individual, and we strive to create a setting where children feel safe, confident, curious and loved.

My son Noah started going to Rhianne when he turned 9 months and absolutely loves it! Her settling in process is amazing, it allows you to understand her setting more and makes you feel at ease when it’s time to leave your little one all while getting your little one settled and feeling safe as well.
Her organisation and the information she gives is 10/10. She genuinely cares for not just your child but you as a parent too.
My son is now 10 months and since going to Rhianne he has learned how to share toys and more. He always goes there and comes home with a smile on his face and gets so excited when we approach her door.
I would consider Rhianne an outstanding child minder in all aspects.

I was struggling to find a childminder that would have our daughter with her being such a young age and having only a small amount of time before being back to work and I found bluebells and blossoms.
Rhianne and Sophie have been absolutely amazing with Aurora and she has settled in very well and developed a close bond with them both which took a while because she wouldn’t even leave my side without crying, but they were very patient with her and with the knowledge and experience they have shows they are very passionate about what they do. And it was a great feeling when I was able to drop her off for the first time and she didn’t even cry which the settling sessions helped a lot.
The placement is great and our daughter is very happy, safe and is developing & learning new things she loves to play and explore new things we are very grateful.😊

We were recently let down with our previous childminder at short notice and found Bluebells and Blossoms and wow what a blessing in disguise it really has been.
Rhianne and Sophie have been absolutely fantastic with our little boy who has previously had difficultly settling at other childcare settings. One of the big things that drew us to them when we first met, was how much their experience and knowledge shone through not only in their setting, but in them as a team. It’s also obvious that they really care and are passionate about what they do, which for us was an absolute must!
We were so impressed with their settling in process, everything felt like such a personal experience and that has certainly continued since he has started his sessions.
We can’t even truly begin to express how grateful we are to the both of them for taking such good care of our son. He’s confident, secure, happy, safe and we really trust them to look after him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
