I work full time and am a lone parent. We enjoy board games, occasionally going out and visiting family and friends, enjoy lots of physical activities as well as anything creative
My Requirements
I have an 11-year-old daughter with ASD and ADHD.
I require a childminder to support during school holidays with childcare - possibly wrap around childcare as well
There will be an occasion 1-2 times a year where I will need overnight care (baby sitting) for social occasions.
You will need to have your DBS & knowledge of ASD & ADHD and how the combination can effect day to day activities, so that you are able to proactively manage routines/expectations and support emotional regulation. There is an EHC plan in place. My daughter is so much more than her disability. She's funny (in a dry humour kind of way) quirky, creative, & and very active (balancing rest times is a must). She cares about the people around her, is very independent (sometimes with a level of disregard for her safety), and loves animals/smaller children. She does have a few sensory triggers, however being too hot can be the biggest trigger (shoes off and water play helps with this). There are points where she does not particularly want to be touched, so allowing her to set her personal boundaries around this is helpful.
