Hello everyone, thank you for clicking on my profile, I hope you find my profile appealing to you and your little ones.
I'm Alexis, I'm 42 years young!

I'm originally from Warners end in Hemel Hempstead. I moved to Berkhamsted 19 years ago.

I've been childminding now for 4 years. Before this, I worked in the care industry in a care home for elderly patients with dementia, I was there for 21 years.
My whole working life has been dedicated to looking after and caring for people of all ages and capabilities.

I bought an apartment by the canal in the then new development of Sheldon Way.
I love living here, it's extremely family orientated, clean, friendly, safe and quiet.

Since moving here I've accquired 2 very friendly cats and had my son, who is now 10 years old.
He attends a local primary school.
He loves playing with the little ones, and they love having an older child to play with. He's like an older brother to all the kids in my care. He's very helpful with them too.

I'm available for childcare all day from 0800 till 1830 Mon to Thurs.

I pick up from Bridgewater primary school.

My apartment is fully equipped to cater for all your childs care needs.
Working in guidance with the EYFS framework.
This includes board games, toys for all ages, puzzles, building blocks, dolls, interactive toys, learning cards, books, sensory toys, lights, music, sing-a-longs, fine and gross motor toys, a play shop, complete with cash register and card reader, home play kitchen with foods and gadgets, letter and colour learning activities, creative art materials, soft play and bikes. probably a lot more too!

I have an outside space also. My balcony is fully safe and secure with high fencing. It has a little wooden kitchen, wooden playhouse, table and chairs with parasol,
It's not directly in the sun, so great for the children's skin safety.

I take the children outside every day (weather permitting) for walks around the local area. This includes parks, the canal, local green areas, woodlands.
I have Whipsnade Zoo passes and Mead Open farm passes. We regularly attend the farm, which is interactive with the animals and has a large soft play area, which the kids love.

I prepare food fresh each day and take into considerations the childs dietry needs and likes. I have full food hygiene training.

I drive a 9 seater van, fully insured, equipped with child car seats and a double and seperate single buggy

It is just myself and my son who live at my home, nobody else is coming and going.

Days out at my setting include:
Mead open farm, Whipsnade Zoo, Tring museum, garden centres, parks, woodlands, soft play, splash parks, parental permission granted-the seaside - southend on sea, canal walks, Pendley Manor hotel to visit the peacocks, Stockwood park museum and gardens,

At my last Ofsted inspection I was rated Good in all areas.

I have an enhanced DBS, clean drivers licence, EYFS training, food hygiene, paediatric first aid, safeguarding young children, health and safety, infection control, risk assesment control.
