Looking For A Wonderful Full-Time Nanny For A Lovely Three-Year Old Boy
About Me
We are a warm and friendly New Zealand family based in N1 London (near Rosemary Gardens) looking for a kind, experienced and engaging nanny to care for our wonderful son Luca (3, turning 4 in July).
As we do not have family nearby, finding the right person is incredibly important to us. We are hoping to find someone who would like to become a valued and trusted part of our family long-term. In return, we offer a supportive working environment, excellent salary, and a respectful and collaborative working relationship.
Luca is a bright, affectionate and curious little boy with a lovely sense of humour. He enjoys learning (especially numbers at the moment!), soft play, and imaginative play. We are looking for a nanny who can support his development while keeping days active, structured and fun.
We would love to find someone who is:
• Warm, positive and naturally kind
• Energetic and happy to be active with a young child
• Creative and able to plan engaging activities and outings
• Calm and patient, with a nurturing but structured approach
• Experienced in supporting routines, transitions and emotional regulation
• A confident communicator with parents
• Able to gently encourage independence and confidence
My Requirements
This is a full-time live-out role with a competitive salary based on a 40-hour week.
The role is designed to offer our family flexibility, and the salary will reflect this. While the average working week is around 30 hours, the schedule will vary depending on our needs and may include evenings, weekends and occasional travel.
The salary is guaranteed regardless of whether you work 30 hours or the full 40 hours. Any hours worked over 40 hours will be paid as overtime.
We are therefore looking for someone who is comfortable with a flexible schedule rather than a fixed weekly pattern.
The position is live-out and includes statutory holiday and pension.
Current Schedule
During term time, Luca attends nursery Wednesday–Friday (9am–3pm).
Childcare is required:
• Mondays and Tuesdays – 8:30am–4pm
Additional hours will typically include:
• One weeknight evening shift (usually around 6pm–10pm, occasionally later depending on the event)
• One weekend morning shift (Saturday or Sunday)
• One weekend evening shift (Friday, Saturday or Sunday)
• Light meal preparation
• Overseas travel with the family when required
During school holidays, the role will generally be 40 hours per week.
We are currently considering whether Luca will begin school in September 2026 or January 2027. Once Luca begins school, the Monday and Tuesday daytime shifts will reduce, and the role will become more focused on evenings, weekends and school holidays.
Work schedules will be confirmed at least two weeks in advance, and specific dates can be discussed and blocked where required.
We respect our nanny’s personal time and aim to give as much advance notice as possible, but the role is best suited to someone comfortable with a variable weekly schedule.
Start Date
• Immediate start preferred, although we can be flexible for the right person
• A paid trial week will take place before offering a formal contract
Experience & Qualifications
• 7+ years’ nanny experience or equivalent childcare experience, particularly in early childhood development
• An early childhood qualification is highly valued
• Excellent references from previous families
Reviews I've Written

Silvia has looked after my son Luca since he was 3.5 months old (he is now 8 months). She has been absolutely fantastic. She is always on time - usually arriving a couple of minutes early and is always full of energy and smiles for him. Her took to her straight away. She has excellent intuition but is very flexible working to the concerns / schedules of parents.
You can't do better - your child will love her. I would highly recommend.
