My name is Gloria, I'm 28 years old and currently living in Edinburgh.
I'm looking to help out a lovely family in need, either full-time or part-time.
People often describe me as a warm and nurturing person with lots of creativity.
Amongst my babysitter & nanny experiences, I also recently worked in a private outdoor nursery which I absolutely loved. Working with children brings me so much joy and I can't imagine myself doing anything else! I love their curiosity, honesty, energy, seeing their facial expressions as they discover something new or when they're being silly. Helping them learn the world around them is such a rewarding job and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
It’s important for me to respect and follow your family's way of living. Whether that follows certain approaches eg. Montessori/froebelian etc. it’s crucial that I learn your family’s values and earn your trust so you can be assured your child is in safe and loving hands.
Coming from a health and well-being background, I recognise the importance of physical activity and the benefits of spending time outdoors - for both children and adults. I spent my childhood exploring nature in every weather and I’m very grateful to my parents for encouraging me to do so. Being outdoors is still my favourite way to enrich my life and it’s even better when I get to roam around with kids - we learn together, have fun and keep each other fit and healthy, it’s a win-win!
Some of my interests include weightlifting and cooking healthy meals. This means I can always make healthier options for your child (if you prefer!) which means it's one less thing for you to worry about. Baking is also an excellent activity for kids to join in on making tasty treats!
If your child is interested in art, I've also got plenty of creative ideas up my sleeve for them to enjoy. We could also grab our imaginary binoculars and take some time exploring outdoors e.g. parks/fun playgrounds.
I have an approved PVG and I'm also first aid qualified.

My Experience
I have been nannying full time for a few years. I have also worked in a private outdoor nursery with children aged 0-6 years and also cared for kids as a nanny and babysitter. I was a volunteer in a gymnastics centre for a month, spending time with kids from age 1 up to 12 years old. I have lived with my little sister for 6 years now and have cared and supported her through her first time living away from parents. From these experiences, some of my responsibilities included changing nappies, feeding, helping with homework, putting kids to bed, cooking, tidying, cleaning, outdoor activities and ensuring children's safety and wellbeing.
I have been a babysitter for 7 years and started nannying 3 years ago. During these years I have looked after kids from ages 6 months-teens. A family I have become very close to I still keep in touch with and visit occasionally in London.
If you would like to enroll your child in soft play or any other activity, I am more than happy to do this as I have been taking kids to soft play classes on a regular basis.
I have an approved PVG and I'm also first aid qualified.

Full-time availability. Can be flexible, depending on which days you would need me and what time. Ideally, weekdays would be best but please don't hesitate to message me if you need weekend help!
