About Me
H my name is Helen, I am an ofsted registered childminder based in Clayton West. I am a mum of three and have a wealth of early years experience due to being an early years teacher for the last 12 years.
I can offer term time full and part time places and offer funded places for 2,3 and 4 year olds. Also before and after school care with drop offs and collection from Kayes First and Nursery School.
I am also registered for tax free childcare.
I offer a safe stimulating environment which enables the children to learn and extend their knowledge through play based activities.
I have an enclosed garden and value the benefits of outdoor learning.
I have taught and managed in nursery and reception in a primary school. I have a sound knowledge of the early years curriculum and have a great passion for supporting and developing children through play.
We will also visit local parks, walks, playgroups, play gyms and the library.
My Experience
I have taught in reception and nursery for the past 12 years. I was a foundation stage leader and managed a large nursery and reception unit.
During this time I have developed a deep understanding of children’s learning and development. I have planned a curriculum to suit each child’s needs through fun and engaging activities.
I have worked closely with agencies for speech and language and have experience of working with additional needs like Autism.
My Qualifications
I have an BA Hons degree in Childhood Studies and a PGCE in Early Years.
I have completed training for safeguarding, first aid and accidents in the home.
Certificates can be seen upon request.
My Availability
I have just recently completed my ofsted registration and have availability for term time, full and part time places for under 5’s and before and after school care for over 5’s.
I may be able to provide holiday care upon request.
