Hello! My name is Elric, I am a friendly, reliable and energetic 26 year old who has just moved to London after three years working in private special education to study Occupational Therapy. I love music and sports, especially running and cycling! I have a real passion for working with and enjoying life alongside other people. I am looking to offer occasional evening and weekend childcare, house sitting and cleaning to supplement my income while I study.
My Experience
I am currently studying postgraduate Occupational Therapy, but for the past 3 years have been working privately in Special Education with ages 8-14 with an emphasis on physical and emotional development. This involved full time one-on-one specialist care and tuition as well as occasional group work with children with a vast range of complex needs including ASD, visual impairment and motor processing disorders. I am used to working calmly and kindly in a spectrum of challenging situations and have a strong ability to motivate young people to overcome whatever is in front of them.
I have managed sports coaching and music tuition and have worked alongside a range of different therapists to support and develop regular therapy sessions.
I am also conservatoire trained in Musical Theatre, and have worked with key stages 1-3 children in a school environment as a music graduate. I have experience working in a luxury Alpine chalet so my cleaning and food hygiene standards are high, and I have a trained eye for detail in the home environment. I love sharing my positive, can-do attitude with children and young adults as well as enjoying creative experiences together.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid with St John Ambulance. DBS checks from several institutions including for private special needs tutor in the home. First-Class Honours Musical Theatre. Food Hygiene and Safety and allergy certificates from Food Standards Agency. Online training certificates from Sensory Integration Education. CPD certificates for sport and disability training.

Elric babysat our children on a one off occasion and was brilliant. Very courteous, polite and punctual on replying to messages beforehand and engaged our children on the evening itself. Elric is a talented and patient teacher. We live in Germany so won’t be able to use Elric again but we wish him all the very best in his future and can highly recommend him!
