My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, caring and experienced childcare professional with a wealth of knowledge gained through working as a primary school teacher, tutor, PA, nanny as well as being a mum to two grown-up children.
I genuinely enjoy helping children grow in confidence, feel supported and thrive in a happy, nurturing environment. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, including those with additional needs, and have a particular interest in supporting children with ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language needs, and autism.
I also enjoy supporting families with positive child behaviour strategies and helping parents navigate challenges within the home in a calm, practical and understanding way.
I am patient, calm, reliable and adaptable, and always aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active, going to the gym, nutrition, cooking healthy meals from scratch and art. I also hold a full driving licence, have my own car, and references are available upon request.
My Experience
I have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and speech and language difficulties. My main experience is with primary school-aged children, although I have also cared for babies and children from 0–4 years old, as well as teenagers. I understand the importance of patience, consistency and creating a calm, structured environment where children feel safe, understood and encouraged to succeed.
Alongside supporting children academically and emotionally, I have also worked closely with parents to help manage routines, behaviour, confidence and day-to-day family life. I enjoy building positive relationships with families and adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and personality.
My experience also includes school runs, organising activities, homework support, meal preparation, healthy cooking, household organisation and providing dependable day-to-day support within busy households.
