About Me
Hi, my name's Allie! I'm currently in my last year of school doing my A levels and I am looking for some childcare work. I would describe myself as energetic, enthusiastic and generally quite chatty! I love playing sports and being active, and growing up with younger cousins I've always took delight in playing with them and being adventurous. Studying English Literature as one of my A Levels, I also greatly enjoy reading and writing and have loved helping any kids I've looked after or tutored with homework or any of their studies. Overall, I would say I take great pleasure in looking after children as I find it very rewarding and being able interact and engage with kids where you can eventually form a bond is such a lovely experience.
My Experience
I’ve been babysitting since I was around 14 and have had experience looking after children from ages 2-12. I also currently coach netball and gymnastics for children ranging from 4-16 and thoroughly enjoy teaching the children new skills as well as having so much fun with them. I currently have a job looking after 2 children aged 8 and 10 where I pick them up from school, bring them home, help them with their homework or any reading and just generally play with them. I have previously had other babysitting jobs with younger children. One girl aged 2 where I would feed her lunch and dinner, giver her her milk, put her down for her nap and change her nappy. I have always loved looking after children as well as tutoring. I am currently an ambassador at a non profit organisation called 'Beyond the Book' which has helped to tutor children during the pandemic. I tutored 3 students and it was a really great experience in lockdown to help those who were struggling.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked and work for a netball organisation called Netit. I also have coaching qualifications in gymnastics.
My Availability
At the moment I am mainly available mainly in the evenings and weekends due to school and work but if you need any other time always feel free to ask as I may have a half day.
