About Me
I am a 29 year old with over 7 years of experience working in a private nursery setting with ages 6 weeks to 11 years old. I was based primarily between ages 0-4 but also ran the holiday clubs for 4-11 year old children.
Childcare has always been my passion, I went into childcare with the dream of being a nanny, the idea of being able to nurture, help to holistically develop children through play from the comfort of their own homes, working closely with their parent/s to ensure happy, loved, imaginative, emotionally secure and creative children builds an excitement in me. I am very hands on and love to get involved in everyday life with children. I am avaliable for full time live in or live out nanny positions and also ad hoc/casual babysitting.
My Experience
I have worked with children from as young as 6 weeks old through to 11-year-olds, gaining experience across a wide range of ages and stages of development. During term time I primarily worked with children aged 4 and under, including 3 years focused on under 2.5s and another 3 years with 2.5–4-year-olds. I have also supported many children in their transition into “big school,” helping to make this milestone as smooth and positive as possible.
As a key worker for children from 0–4, I developed extensive knowledge of developmental milestones and how to support each child’s growth at their own pace. I planned and prepared tailored activities that supported individual needs, including SEN, making sure they were fun, engaging, sensory, and inclusive.
Beyond the classroom, I ran holiday clubs where I designed and led a variety of exciting activities. I believe children learn best through play, nature, and real-world experiences, so I often took learning outdoors and on trips. Even everyday moments, like a visit to the supermarket, became an opportunity to spark curiosity and teach valuable skills.
I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive, explore, and build confidence while having fun.
