About Me
Hi, my name is Rachael at Little Smiles Childminding. I am a fully qualified, Ofsted Registered and DBS checked childminder based in Cuddington, Cheshire with 3 amazing children of my own. I provide a caring, happy and fun home environment for your little ones to grow.
Ages: 0-5 years
Location: near to Sandiway Primary School
Days: Monday - Thursday
Hours: 8am - 5pm
At Little Smiles our days are filled with lots of activities; toddler groups, visiting parks, going on woodland walks, having fun in the garden, crafting, 'rhyme time' at the library, lots of reading and singing, role play, messy play and outings to various places such as Chester Zoo, Gro-zone, soft play centres, Delamere Forest and many more.
I provide a balanced routine of free play, structured learning and creative activities, opportunities to socialise, lots of outdoor play and quiet time as needed. I will always support your child's individual needs in a nurturing and engaging way.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to support your child's 'learning journey' and I send out a daily diary so you can see what your little one has been up to.
I provide healthy food choices including nutritious and well balanced home cooked dinners.
I have a great space indoors and outdoors with tuff tray activities and spending time on the play equipment. There are lots of opportunities to role play with the kitchen, village shop and ice-cream truck.

My Experience
I have been working as a childminder for nearly 2 years. Prior to this I have 7 years experience bringing up my 3 children as well as several years in the role of Chair for St John Sandiway Toddler Group. This gave me lots of experience with children and was the motivation behind me becoming a childminder.

We have been lucky enough to have Rachael look after our 3 year old daughter for around two years now. Georgia is so happy to visit her every week and we never cease to be amazed by the variety of activities, trips and learning experiences Rachael provides for her. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Georgia truly sees it as a home from home. Her development, confidence and social skills have really icnreased and we know Rachael has had a key role in this. She truly cares for and loves all the children she looks after and treats them as individuals, it never feels like a business, just a friend looking after your child as if they were their own. Rachael always takes time to introduce Georgia to new things and cultures and we truly appreciate the great start she is providing our daughter to be a happy, well rounded person.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our childminder. From the moment my child walks through the door, they are welcomed with warmth, patience, and genuine care. Every day is filled with fun activities, learning opportunities, and thoughtful routines that make my child feel safe, happy, and excited to return.
One thing that always stands out is how clean, organised, and well-maintained her home is. You can tell she takes great pride in creating a safe, hygienic and comfortable space for the children.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found her, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Rachel at Little smiles Childminding is without a doubt a godsend. Before here I tried my child at two other settings both of which she wasn’t keen, on and always looked more upset than excited to go to. From day one, she was more than happy to attend little smiles child minding, she always ran off to the door to greet Rachel and her children and would run off smiling and laughing. Rachel filled each day to the max taking them on trips out, toddler sessions and various activities in the house. She updates you daily with all the activities your child has done, what they’ve eaten, achievements, and areas for development, along with multiple photographs. Me and my partner always dropped her off knowing she was in safe hands and was bound to have a fantastic day. There was never any worries that our daughter wouldn’t enjoy herself. I was so upset to leave this setting, but unfortunately our children have to grow up don’t they!! Honestly cannot recommend a better childminder in this area. Thank you for giving Ivy a fantastic two years in your care - I would recommend Rachel to anyone without hesitation.
