About Me
I am a fully Qualified Maternity Nurse, offering support to families with newborn babies from 0-12 weeks. I am caring and compassionate, with a gentle but knowledgeable, evidence-based approach.
Passionate about guiding new parents and their families through what can be a very daunting and exhausting time, I can empower you to become more confident through my support and guidance.
You may also like to have some time to rest and catch up on some much needed sleep, whilst I take care of baby's needs. Once rested, we can work together on taking care of baby and reading baby's cues - making things much easier for everyone.
I am also a Doula - supporting women to achieve the best outcomes during pregnancy and birth. I offer antenatal and birth packages, and also offer a “Birth & Beyond” planning service, as well as being a birth educator. I specialise in home births and freebirths - but a completely physiological birth can also be achieved in hospital. I have also supported women who have chosen to have C-Sections, if this is what you feel is right for you.
I am an avid supporter of breastfeeding and know that this needs to be taught and learnt before baby comes along will make it much easier when the time comes. Even if you are not planning to breastfeed for long, every drop counts and we can also talk about Colostrum harvesting and storing your milk safely.
I can discuss all the options available to you and how to avoid unnecessary complications and interventions to achieve the best birth outcomes possible for you and for baby.
My Experience
Experience of assisting in all areas of newborn care. Supporting mothers in childbirth, post-natal care and providing coaching & guidance to new parents online and through messaging support.
Experience of supporting home births, birth in hospital and C-sections.
Experience of comprehensive birth planning, covering every eventuality.
My Qualifications
B.Ed (Hons) Early Years - I have a teaching degree, with an early years specialism, which has definitely helped with guiding others through new processes, providing evidence- based knowledge/research and explaining new techniques.
I am constantly studying, reading new research and working on my CPD (Continuous Professional Development), so have up-to-date knowledge to all areas relating to pregnancy, birth and beyond.
Fully Qualified Maternity Nurse, specialising in 0-12 weeks. Establishing Breastfeeding/paced bottle feeding; Colic and Reflux; understanding sleep and naps; and so much more.
Full Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
Fully enhanced DBS certificate.
Member of the Royal College of Midwives.
My Availability
On call from 38-42 weeks for Doula service, with continuous WhatsApp support throughout.
