About Me
*******This position is 32-35 hours (guaranteed) with a flex requirement up to 50hrs starting October. Sole charge for 1 & 3,5 year old for 2 days and Nursery pick ups at 3pm for 3 days ******
Hello lovely Nannies/Mannies
Some of you may have seen my (old) ad over the last week, but we have had to amend it. We are Laura and Maurice and we have two gorgeous, gregariously funny girls aged 16 months and 3,5 years old. Our most amazing nanny of three years, who’s become a part of the family, is leaving the U.K. and we are looking for the next nanny to join our crazy, but stable and fun household.
We are German and Swiss, but speak French, mediocre Spanish and Italian, with a glass half full attitude we both are very active (mmhh I used to be pre-baby ;)). We love yoga, cycling, running, hiking, swimming and my better half is the chef in the relationship. Lucky me! We’ve both lived in London for 15 years and have adapted our British maneurisms ;)
We live close to South Hampstead station, Swiss Cottage or Finchley Road station and have a gorgeous, well appointed garden allowing for quality outdoor time with the little ones, but Regent’s Park/Primrose Hill/West Hampstead and Hampstead Heath are not far on foot or by bus. We appreciate a healthy amount of outdoor time for the little ones.
Both of us work in demanding jobs with international travel for us & we just need that powerhouse energy that keeps our house calm and on track. Our oldest goes to nursery 3 days a week just 6 mins walk away and we will be sending our youngest one as well between November-March (tbc), thus until she goes to nursery this is a 50 hours requirement. When theyll go to nursery they will only go for three days a week and are home for two full days. Thus we are looking for a Nanny, who is willing to help us with the following schedule (min. 32 hours guaranteed):
32 hours will be contractually guaranteed minimum:
- Up until baby is sent to nursery - 40-50 hours from October/November
- At 32 hours, this will be Mon-Wed from 3-7pm and Thu/Fri - 8-6pm.
- Once our firstborn goes to school as of Next September, we will need 10 hours/day coverage during term-time.
We will be travelling for half of August and September and ideally look to secure a Nanny before with a start date in September 29th +/-. Thus this position requires flexibility to increase hours with light household help expectations like cleaning up after cooking, tidying kids clothes and toys & helping with the odd wash or buying a jug of milk. We have a cleaner & do weekly shops ourselves. However, if there is someone out there who is happy to help with some personal administrative tasks relating to me - I’m open to discussing that, but it’s not an expectation.
We seek to pay between £14-£15 net based on experience and welcome self employed Nannie’s, which our last one was. We are open to offering an extra week of paid holidays annually with Christmas guaranteed off for 2 weeks.
Any questions, let us know!
