About Me

Hi my name is Maryam. I am a single parent to Tara who is 11 years old. I work in a school during the week in an after school club but have free time during the day or on a weekend and would like to be able to offer childcare for a family in their own home.

I have a lot of experience with primary school age children as that is my current role but also have 4 years experience of working with younger children in a nursery setting.

I am fluent in English and Persian so happy to work with a family where Persian is their first language or happy to teach a bit of Persian to anyone who would like to learn. I have taught English as a foreign language before.

I like to do a wide variety of activities such as baking, crafts, going to the park and many others to keep youngsters happy and active.

I enjoy home cooking (homemade pizza is a speciality of mine and very fun for the children to make too) and am happy to do this amongst other tasks required

My Experience

I have my own child so have plenty of practical hands on experience of child care.

I currently am employed running an after school club during the week which I really enjoy. This has given me a wealth of experience with primary school age children.

I have 4 years of nursery nurse experience working with babies of 6 months to 4 years old.

My Qualifications

I have a childcare level 3 qualification and level 2 teaching assistant, as well as Maths and English GCSE’s, so I am happy to help out with education and homework too.
