About Me
I am a 23 year old University student studying Early Childhood Studies, aspiring to professionally work with children after university, wanting to gain experience working with children and their families. At the moment I am just looking for the odd day of babysitting here and there to fit in between university and the nursery, although I would love to find a more long term family to stay with if I can make it work alongside university!
I currently work part time at a nursery, working primarily in the baby room (03-18months) as well as in preschool (3-4yrs), although I do often work with the children aged 2-3 when needed to! I am DBS checked and hold a Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification
I volunteered for Girlguiding between 2012 - 2022 with children aged 5-11, and have worked at a children’s summer/activity camp as an Arts and Craft instructor, and so have experience working with children aged 4-14. I have also worked in a professional kitchen and so have experience making fun and exciting, yet healthy, meals and snacks!
I have had previous experience nannying/babysitting for a family with children aged 9.5 months and five years old, and have just finished working with an amazing family who I was with for 12 months (aged 6-17 months)! Whilst working with this family, I meal-prepped, cooked and cleaned, took the child to doctors and vaccination appointments, and looked after the little girl from anywhere between 3hrs a day up to 9hrs depending on what the family needed from me!

I also currently travel long distance to look after a 15 month old girl, doing the odd day here and there throughout the year when needed, and have done so since she was 2 weeks old

I am at university, and lectures are held at different times and on different days each week, so inquiries will need to be made about specific times and specific dates to see if I can fit you in!
Would be willing to do overnight, but would want to get to know the family and children first.

- CPD UK accredited Understanding Child Development and Disabilities
- ASA Aquatics Level 1 Swim Teaching (Assistant) Qualification
- Numerous and varied internal qualifications and education & training courses completed from the nursery I work at
- Paediatric First Aid (Level 3) Qualified
- DBS checked through university and my work within early years settings

Toby looked after our little girl, Cassidy, regularly for about a year.
She was great with Cassidy and Cassidy really loved spending time with Toby.
Toby was knowledgeable about child development, capable, professional, reliable, flexible, everything you could wish for.
Unfortunately we've had to move away from the area. I would hire Toby again in a heartbeat.

Toby has been with us for the last 2 days as an emergency childcare cover. She was absolutely fabulous from the minute she arrived and she quickly bonded with our 4 year old and 9.5 month old. I trusted her immediately to get on with everything and she didn’t disappoint. She played games and sang with them, did crafts and activities and provided a really high level of care and attention. Toby got us out of a sticky childcare situation and was super reliable and responsive and I never doubted that she was going to show up. We will definitely use her again. I’ve rated 5 stars for everything but we were in our house so setting was provided.
