About Me

I’m a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with special needs experience. Personal experience of teaching a dyslexic child (my own). social and emotional needs and autism. Eight years working within the classrooms. I feel all learning is individual and finding a fun way of learning the foundations is key, to then build on, building a love of learning through achievement and enjoyment. I have two boys, my youngest soon to start secondary. I love being outdoors, enjoying our natural surroundings, growing my own fruit and veg and going on long country walks.

My Experience

I have worked in a primary school for 8 years, working with all children, special needs children and leading booster groups and interventions. I have a passion for speech and language and helping dyslexic children find a love for learning. I believe children will not progress without the foundations and the love to learn. My approach is individual to each child.
With babysitting I am relaxed and patient, being a mother to two boys, lots of play or lots of tiptoeing once they are asleep.
