About Me
Hello, I'm Victoria, a registered home-based Childminder with Ofsted since 2020. My husband and our lovely two adult children, a male and a female, are both DBS-checked. I have a 3-bedroom house, a big garden and free parking, which is close to AbbeyWood and Plumstead and Woolwich train stations. My home is full of love and warmth; it's an environment where your children can grow and thrive. At Gifted Hands Children Services, we believe that all children are gifted; they just need lots of love and assurance to help them bring out their gifts early in life.
Reading, discovering new things and being aware of their environment through playing, learning both indoors and outdoors, regardless of the weather (unless there's a weather forecast warning), are just some of the ways these gifts can be brought out in them. This will help in discovering themselves early in life, which will build the confidence and self-esteem needed throughout their lives.
I am in the process of obtaining my Level 3 Forest School qualification, which will enable the children to acquire skills that can't be acquired in the traditional classroom environment. They will learn to take more supervised risks to help their development. I am a fully qualified outdoor and paediatric forest school first aider.
My Experience
I have volunteered as a Children's Sunday School teacher at my church for over 2 decades. I have worked with children with SEND. Working with children comes naturally to me. My work in the school setting with children helps me in my childminding setting.
My Qualifications
Paediatric first aid training, Safeguarding, Childcare training, Level 3 Forest School training (ongoing), Greenwich Childminder-Send Foundation Training, Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Awareness, Early Years Professional Development Programme.
