We are a family of four. Our seven year old son is autistic and pre verbal, and is a very happy and playful child.
My Requirements
We’re looking to train and hire someone to be our son’s part time ABA tutor. ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) is a recognised and effective research-based Autism therapy designed to reduce negative behaviours and increase positive behaviours whilst also teaching new skills and improving social communication.
No experience with ABA/Autism necessary as full training provided on the job. Most importantly, we are looking for someone fun, patient and can hold a child’s attention!
The role is flexible. First you would start with some play sessions to pair up with him. Then some shadow sessions with our current ABA tutors. Then you’ll become his 1:1 ABA tutor at school for one day per week.
