About Me

Hello, My name is Whitney.

I am a fully qualified Nanny; I have completed both my NVQ Level 2 and 3 in childcare with over 11 years’ experience working with children. I am accomplished and energetic, with a solid history of achievement in Childcare. I enjoy a wide range of activities with children, including plenty of creative, messy play; construction, den making, cooking and baking. I also believe in plenty of fresh air and will always encourage children to have a run around, whatever the weather.

My Experience

Nanny | Private Family

After gaining experience working in a nursery setting, I moved into private childcare, caring for two children aged 1 and 4 when I started the role.

• Provided full daily care, following and maintaining the children’s individual routines and developmental needs.
• Planned and incorporated age-appropriate educational and creative play activities into their daily routine.
• Prepared and cooked healthy, balanced meals and managed feeding routines.
• Took the younger child to various activities and classes, as well as arranging opportunities to socialise with other nannies and children.
• Managed all aspects of the children’s personal care, including dressing, bathing and general hygiene.
• Maintained the children’s bedrooms, play areas, clothing and belongings, including laundry and tidying.
• Built strong relationships with the children, parents and other local nannies, helping to establish a positive and supportive social circle for the children.
• Left the position when both children began attending school full-time and the family no longer required a full-time nanny.

Nanny | Private Family

I cared for three children aged 7, 3 and 16 months, having cared for the youngest child from birth. This was a sole-charge position involving responsibility for the children’s daily care, development and routines.

• Managed school runs for the two older children, including morning drop-offs and afternoon collections.
• Provided full-time care for the youngest child throughout the day, organising activities and classes to support all areas of her development.
• Took the youngest child to gymnastics and arranged a variety of age-appropriate activities.
• Organised playdates with other nannies and families to encourage social development and confidence.
• Had sole responsibility for toilet training the 3-year-old, successfully establishing both daytime and nighttime independence.
• Planned, prepared and cooked healthy main meals and snacks for the children.
• Managed children’s laundry, changed bed linen and maintained their bedrooms and personal areas.
• Travelled with the family to their holiday homes, continuing to provide the same high standard of childcare and maintaining the children’s routines while away.
• Developed a strong and trusting relationship with the children and parents through consistent, attentive care.

Nanny | Private Family | Current Position

I currently care primarily for two children aged 4 and 5, while also providing support to their older brothers, aged 13 and 15. I am the family’s first nanny, having previously been cared for by their grandparents.

• Responsible for the daily care and routine of the two youngest children.
• Prepare and serve healthy breakfasts, lunches, snacks and evening meals.
• Manage school morning routines, ensuring both children are dressed, organised and ready for school.
• Collect the children from school at 3:00pm and provide sole care until 4:30pm.
• Provide after-school care, including bathing, preparing snacks, reading and supporting homework.
• Established a structured daily routine for the children, who had previously had very little formal routine.
• Worked closely with the parents to introduce consistency, structure and boundaries into the children’s daily lives.
• Built a warm, trusting and positive relationship with the whole family.
• Provide additional housekeeping support while the children are at school.
• During school holidays, provide full-time care and organise activities to keep the children engaged, active and entertained.
• Support the older children when required, while maintaining my primary focus on the younger two.
