I have two young adult sons with special needs they’re such beautiful young men one has Cerebral palsy who is in a wheelchair and my other son has autism and epilepsy. They have no behaviour problems. They are very smiley young men and always happy.

Looking for Nanny / Carer Required – Special Needs Support (Full-Time or Part-Time) SEN Experience
Location: Little Berkhamsted, SG13
Pay: £16.97 per hour

I am a mum of two wonderful young men with special needs and I am looking for several kind, reliable carers to support our family at home in Little Berkhamsted (SG13). I currently have one carer and need additional support to ensure good cover and consistency for my sons.

Hours are flexible and can include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

My sons are very loving, caring happy and smiley. They enjoy:
• Playing board games
• Football
• Computer games
• Days in at home and days out
• And so much more

One of my sons has epilepsy, so it is important that applicants are willing to complete epilepsy awareness and seizure first aid training.

We are looking for carers who can act as a mother’s helper and provide support with:
• Playing and engaging with the boys
• Supporting with days in and days out
• Personal care
•. Hoisting involved
• Feeding and mealtimes
• Light cleaning and general household support
• General supervision and support in the home

Current Care Setup

I currently have one carer and need several more carers to provide cover when she finishes her shifts and for additional support. Her hours are:
• Monday & Tuesday: 9:15am – 3:00pm
• Thursday: 9:15am – 4:00pm
• Wednesday & Friday: 4:15pm – 6:15pm

When she finishes, I need another carers to come in to continue support.

The ideal person will be:
• Kind, patient and reliable
• Someone who truly enjoys their job
• Someone who loves working with young adults
• Experience with special needs (preferred but not essential)
• Trustworthy and supportive
• Must have or be willing to complete a DBS check
• References required
• Willing to complete first aid training
• Willing to complete epilepsy awareness / seizure first aid training

Full training will be provided.

This role can be full-time or part-time.
