About Me
I have been a registered childminder, Little Stars Childminding, since 2020 & I’m thoroughly enjoying my career choice. I live in the Centre of Rothley with my husband & 3 children. My eldest daughter is 17 & studying at college, my middle daughter is 14 & is about to start her gcse’s & my youngest, my son is 8 and a bundle of joy. We are a setting with no pets as that’s just personal preference. I mind children of all ages, the youngest I have taken in is 6 months but would happily take younger & the eldest being 11. All children are cared for in a home from home environment & with a mix of ages as I believe this helps tremendously with their development & getting them ready for school. I have an enclosed garden with lots of room for expression & play. We have a wooden, purpose built playhouse with slide, swing set, trampoline & lots of other ride on toys, bikes & scooters which we have out on rotation. We love to go out & about, get messy with paint, sand, water & even mud! We love crafts & try to incorporate special calendar events where we can. We attend local playgroups & library events where possible & love to go soft play occasionally. We meet regularly with other childminders & go on outings all together to a variety of places.
My working hours are 8:00 am-5:00pm, Monday-Thursday & 8-4 on Fridays.
My Experience
I have been childminding for over 5 years and alongside being a mum have looked after children from 6 months old.
I have ico insurance as well as being fully insured by a leading childcare insurer.
I have food hygiene training & have been inspected by the councils food hygiene team.
I have cared for children with intolerances & allergies.
My Qualifications
Level 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare
Level 3 paediatric first aid trained
Food hygiene certificated
Safeguarding trained

Nikki is an amazing childminder she cared for my first daughter and she currently cares for my 1 year now too. Her home is lovely, her and her family are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend

Nikki provides a real home from home and has been fantastic for our little boy. We couldn’t have asked for any more. Nikki is so caring a loving and really takes time to bond with the children. Thank you nikki for all you have done for our little boy. Nikkis house is incredibly clean and tidy and I really feel it’s a wonderfully safe place.

Nikki is a fantastic childminder, always willing to adapt to last minute requests. My kids have loved being looked after by her. She offers a welcoming and homely environment - would highly recommend.
