About Me
Hi,
I’m Casey and I live in cheerful chaos with my four children. 12,10, 9 and 1years!
I decided to have a change of career and not to return to my role as a lecturer after my maternity leave ended with my youngest child. I wanted to do something that is a little more flexible for my family and where I can use my skills, knowledge, ideas and resources gained from my previous roles - so childminding it was!
I hope to be able to offer flexibility around your requirements too.
About me: patient, kind, caring, fun, experienced and approachable.
My setting: The downstairs of our home is set up for childminding; lounge, kitchen, downstairs bathroom, playroom and garden.
Our garden comprises of a large all weather, undercover lean-to, grass area and a summerhouse with undercover verandah.
I warmly welcome visits to our home.
We love nature and wildlife, sensory activities, exploring all that our local community offers and further afield too.
My Experience
I have gained most of my experience from being a mum to my four children!
I have also worked as a teaching assistant and in a respite residential care home for children.
My most recent role that I was able to gain lots of valuable experience from was teaching students with profound and multiple learning difficulties and disabilities.
This was in a college environment and most of the students were at the end of their formal learning journeys. I am now excited to be working with children at the beginning of their own learning journeys.
I can use Makaton and PECS.
I have previously received training in PEG feeding, diabetes management training (carb counting and injecting insulin) epilepsy and dysphagia.
I would be happy to receive refresher training and undertake further specialist training when required.
I am experienced in working with other professionals in order to achieve the best outcomes for children and am experienced in report writing for EHC Plans.
My Qualifications
Full paediatric first aid certificate.
Safeguarding Level 2
CACHE level 3 preparing to work in home-based childcare.
Level 4 certificate in education and training
My Availability
I have 1 part time space becoming available in September 2024.
I do have space for school holiday care.
