About Me
Hi, I’m Laura and I’m actively looking for a nanny role, offering a Monday to Thursday service.I have my own car so I am able to do lots of running around, such as doing the school runs and taking the children to any Clubs they might have. I can also be available throughout the day for babies to pre-school age, or even if you’d like a help in hand with any house hold jobs!
I’ve always had a natural affinity with children right from being young. I would consider myself a fun, positive and bubbly person who is very family orientated and loves children and animals! I love spending my free time with friends, being out and about and keeping busy. I also enjoy going off for the day with my dog and going for long walks. I love to bake as well as being artistic and creative. When looking after children, although I love having fun, I understand the importance of ground rules whilst being fair.
My Experience
I have always enjoyed working with children. From the age of 12 I did a lot of babysitting for my next door neighbour. I did this for roughly 6 years. I then moved on to achieve my level 2 and 3 childcare qualification through an apprenticeship. I have also had some work experience at a couple of different primary schools, which allowed me to work with slightly older children too. I currently look after 3 children in their home after school and most of the school holidays. I’ve been with them for 18months now and absolutely love it! I also work at a breakfast club every morning.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained. I achieved my level 3 childcare qualification as a nursery nurse and I studied double Health and Social and Business Studies achieving my A levels.
My Availability
I currently look after 3 children in their home ages 6, 8 and 11 after school 3-6:30. I work at a breakfast club mon-fri 7:15 - 9am and on a Monday and Thursday 9-11am I clean for somebody local. This all reduces my flexibility however something inbetween these hours would be great to fill the gap. I am available Mon & Thur 11:30-2:30 and tue&wed 9-2:30.
