My Summary
Ofsted Registered Childminder In Red Lodge. Home From Home Setting
About Me
Hello, I’m Naomi, an Ofsted-registered childminder offering high-quality, home-from-home early years care with a strong focus on daily outdoor learning and exploration.
I am currently working towards Curiosity Approach accreditation, creating a calm, natural environment where children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and learn through curiosity and play.
I provide a nurturing, child-led setting where each child is valued as an individual.
My approach supports confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing, helping children develop at their own pace through meaningful play and real-life experiences.
Outdoor learning is a key part of my daily practice, whatever the weather, giving children regular opportunities to connect with nature and the world around them.
I hold a Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Early Years Education and am fully trained in Paediatric and Infant First Aid. I am committed to maintaining high standards of care and creating a safe, engaging environment where children feel secure, happy, and inspired to learn.
Strong relationships with families are very important to me. I believe in open communication and working in partnership with parents to ensure consistency, reassurance, and the best possible outcomes for each child.
At home, I live with my husband (together for 13 years, married for 11) and our friendly Labrador, who is part of our family life. We are both DBS checked, ensuring a safe and secure setting for all children in my care.
I aim to provide more than childcare — I offer a calm, enriching early years experience where children feel confident, curious, and excited to explore each day.
I look forward to welcoming families who are looking for a caring, professional, and dedicated childminder who values childhood and learning in its most natural form.
My Experience
I am an experienced and passionate Ofsted-registered childminder with extensive hands-on experience in early years childcare, nursery settings, and school-aged childcare provision. I have worked in a nursery environment supporting children aged 1–4 years, gaining strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), child development, and child-led learning through play.
I also have experience providing wraparound childcare, including breakfast club, afterschool club, and holiday club (half-term childcare) for school-aged children. This has strengthened my ability to support older children with structured activities, homework support, social development, and consistent routines outside of school hours.
Alongside my professional background in early years education and childcare settings, I bring significant personal experience as a mother, grandmother, and family-based childcare provider. I have supported the care of my 10 nieces and nephews, aged from 1 to 20, giving me a broad understanding of caring for children across all age groups, from babies and toddlers through to teenagers.
My approach is nurturing, patient, and child-centred, with a strong focus on learning through play, outdoor learning, and real-life experiences. I provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports emotional wellbeing, social skills, independence, and early education development in line with EYFS outcomes.
I am committed to offering high-quality home-from-home childcare, supporting children to feel confident, secure, and ready for their next stage in learning, including school readiness and early development milestones.

My daughter attended here when she was 2 years old until she went to school. Naomi also supported our daughter through the transition into preschool and school. Naomi is good at communicating and will tell you what your child has got up to and what they have eaten. She will often check in on the child’s interests and provides age appropriate activities, as well as take children on outings. She was also able to provide childcare to us when our daughter needed after preschool care and in the school holidays. My daughter loved it! Naomi goes above and beyond to support children and we couldn’t be happier with the level of care we received for our daughter. Our daughter previously attended a nursery that didn’t provide adequate basic care and moving our daughter to Little Ducklings was the best decision we had made and wished we had done it much sooner. Our daughter has totally flourished since being at Little Ducklings!

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely homely setting. So many activities for children to do. 100 % trust Naomi with my child. Completely put my mind at ease with all my questions about funding. Communication is always quick and in depth. Naomi is very organised and thorough. Loves her job and you can see her loving kind nature. Very lucky to have found such a fantastic childminder. Naomi is a brilliant childminder!
She really goes above and beyond for all the children in her care. From personal experience, it’s a home from home environment. I never see any children upset when parents are dropping off, nor do they want to leave at pick up time.
My daughter flourished in her care!
