My Summary

My Experience

My current role as Deputy Manager at Musselburgh Nature Kindergarten has made me responsible for 100 children and around 20 staff on a daily basis. I work well under pressure and can support all the children and staff through milestones and challenges. While being mainly office based, I still share the role of room senior meaning I often get to work with the children directly, which is where my true passion lies. I create daily child led experiences both indoors and out in the local community so that the children can experience the world around them. This is enhanced while learning in a outdoor classroom in our forest school - creating fires, building equipment and preparing meals for their lunch/snacks.

My role as senior lead practitioner at Crieff Hydro Daycare facility has made me used to being responsible for high volumes of children at one time, working under high pressure, and being able to adapt to different environments. While working at Crieff Hydro, I have spent plenty of time working at and leading the Big Country kids club, giving me plenty of experience with looking after children with different needs up to the age of 12. This includes children with ASN, children with additional languages, children with disabilities who need extra support.

As a nanny/babysitter I have an array of experience in different households. I have helped families during lockdown when they were struggling to get childcare, I have experience with driving children to different after school clubs, extracurricular activities, and leisure activities. I enjoy being outdoors and experiencing nature with children as well as bringing in Montessori learning through hands on play so that children can develop real world skills. I also have experience with staying over night, going on family holidays to support the children, and keeping up with household duties.

My Qualifications

I have my SVQ3 in social services (children and young people) which was a 2 year long course which I worked full time while completing. I have an up to date PVG check and am registered with SSSC. I also have an up to date paediatric first aid have a full driving license and own my car. I regularly partake in training courses with care inspectorate and SSSC to ensure I always have consistent knowledge about child protection, safeguarding, creating exciting and engaging experiences and also have a passion in Montessori learning and being outdoors with children.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Friday but also happy to do extra evenings or any babysitting which may be needed.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

I charge £13-16 an hour depending on different circumstances such as; travel, how many children will be in my care and how late my hours are. But I am more than happy to discuss and work out the right price for the right family!
