About Me
I am a mother of three grown up children and have been a registered childminder for 25 years. I have a NVQ level 3 in childcare and a paediatric first aid certificate. I have looked after children from the age of four months plus. I am caring, flexible and enjoy working with children. The first few years of a child's life are key to their development and I am grateful to be a part of that. I have no pets and my family are non smokers, I endeavour to take the children out for fresh air and attend playgroups for them to socialise. I have a garden with various garden toys that we use daily. References are available upon request from curent parents and parents of children no longer in my care. My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 25 years looking after children from the age of four months plus. I have strong relationships with childminders in my area and we go on outings together such as to the farm, parks and walks.
My Qualifications
I am a first aider with a NVQ level 3 in childcare and am on the DBS update service. I also am a Pacey member and have attended training on the following courses: Safeguarding children, Inclusion, Child protection, Exploring letters and sounds, Policies and procedures, Birth to three matters, Safety and hygiene and Focus of a childminder.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday 730am to 6pm. Also late evenings and weekends if needed.

Words cannot describe our gratitude to Kina and her daughter, Priya who is also a childminder, and the rest of her family for looking after our little girl and by extension us as a young family. From the moment we met Kina we just knew she was the right fit. She has so much experience (it is not unusual to bump into teenagers or other parents in New Malden that Kina has looked after in the past )is so conscientious, professional, kind, very loving, diligent and values honesty. Our little girl joined when she was just under one and settled in easily to the extent that to this day she still calls Kina her ‘grandmother’ and asks to go to her house. Not only is she close with Kina, she is also close with Priya. If we happen to meet in soft play, she always runs towards them for a big reunion cuddle. Kina is excellent at understanding children, their different needs and able to adapt as per their requirements. For example, my little girl is quite strong minded, and Kina knows that if she speaks to her in a quieter voice, and tells her in advance of plans, she will respond better. My little girl would never nap at home, but at Kina‘s place, she could crawl up next to Kina on the sofa, and sleep there! Kina, cooks wonderful and wholesome home-made meals, and really gets to know the child’s diet. She knows that if my daughter says no to eating (tantrum) but gives her a few minutes of space, she will go back to the table peacefully. All of the children and parents that Kina and Priya look after have formed a little community and we even go for dinner as a means to keep in touch and support each other. The only reason why we left Kina’s care is because we moved house- it was a hard decision to part and truly felt heartbreaking. Kina and her family were very much part of the ‘village’ young families need. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Kina, you won’t regret it.

Our 3yo son attended Kina’s childminding setting for nearly a year, starting when he was two. He has reveled in the care, love and enjoyment that he has received on a daily basis from Kina and is always happy telling us about his day. We’ve been especially impressed by the nutritional content of the meals. Kina always limits sugar and salt and varies the meal provision regularly. Our son eats much better at Kina’s table than at home!
We’ve always appreciated how flexible Kina can be, whether it’s early morning starts or arranging midday collection from nursery. Kina is so helpful at passing on and receiving messages from teachers at school and is a very reliable ‘middle-man’.
Kina spends time talking through the afternoon’s events and sends daily photo updates. Our son has really benefited from being among lots of different aged children and especially Kina’s own grandson. The children go to playgroups, play in the garden and have lots of toys and activities inside the house. Our son has had a great start to his early years provision and we’ll be keeping in touch regularly with Kina.

We have had our two year old with Kina 2 or 3 times previously due to unforeseen work commitments and his usual nursery being unable to accommodate. Kina has been superb, very responsive, always welcoming and has kept us informed (via whatsapp) throughout the day of our boy's movements. Leo has always left with a big smile on his face and we would have no hesitation in utilising Kina and / or recommending her moving forward - she and her family are superb.

Kina is a lovely, caring, warm and reliable childminder. She looked after our daughter for almost 2 years after school and at times for breakfast. During this time it was noticeable how much Kina cares about the children she looks after. My daughter always spoke highly of her saying how she did different activities and helped with her homework even when she has smaller kids to look after too. As a parent Kina is very easy to work with and very flexible with at times was needed as I do shift work. I can’t recommend her enough. We only stopped using her as with another sibling a nanny just suited our situation better.

Overall
Kina has been child-minding my daughter full time for the past 2 years since she turned 1 and I can't praise her enough for the care, love and attention she has given her. She treats all the children she looks after like they are part of her wonderful family and my daughter has flourished into a polite, highly motivated and loving little girl. Kina has also been incredibly flexible and accommodating which has been a great help to my partner and I as full time working parents.
Unfortunately we have now moved to a different town which means that we've had to leave Kina which has been very sad indeed. She has become a good friend and Ill be keeping in touch but would highly recommend her services to any new prospective parents looking for childcare for their children.
