Welcome to Kovan Daycare! I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Rotherhithe, welcoming families from Surrey Quays, Bermondsey and surrounding areas.
As a mother of three with over 11 years of professional childcare experience, including experience in early years, preschool settings and Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCO), I understand how important it is to find quality childcare you can trust.
At Kovan Daycare, I provide a warm, nurturing and inclusive home-from-home environment where every child feels safe, happy, valued and supported.

? Outdoor Adventures: Regular visits to local parks, libraries, museums, soft play centres and community playgroups, encouraging children to explore and discover the world around them.
?? Inclusive Childcare & SENCO Experience: With my experience in Special Educational Needs Coordination, I understand that every child develops differently. I provide individual support and adapt activities to meet children’s abilities, interests and developmental needs.
? Strong Parent Partnerships: I believe in maintaining open communication with parents, providing regular updates about their child’s daily routine, learning and development.
? EYFS Learning: Activities are planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting children’s development through meaningful play and everyday experiences.

My Experience
I have over 11 years of professional experience working with children in early years and preschool settings, alongside my personal experience as a mother of three.
My childcare background includes experience in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCO), supporting children with additional needs and working closely with families to promote inclusive learning and development.
As an Ofsted-registered childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), observing children’s progress and planning stimulating activities tailored to their individual interests, abilities and developmental needs.
I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Building positive relationships with parents is central to my approach, ensuring children receive consistent care and support throughout their early years.

My Availability
Kovan Daycare offers flexible childcare Monday to Sunday, including full-day, half-day, before and after-school care, evenings and weekend childcare, subject to availability.
Funded childcare hours are available for eligible families.
I understand that every family’s schedule is different, so I aim to provide flexible childcare arrangements to suit individual needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
Childminder fees: £10:50/ per hr
( A minimum of three hours for childminding)
15/30 Free Funded Early Year Education
8am-3:30pm-15 hours over 2days
8am -6pm - 30 hours over 3days
School Pick Up/ Drop Off : 9:50/per hr

Vanessa has been a wonderful childminder for our little girl. She offers an incredibly reliable service and a safe, caring environment with plenty of fun outings for the kids. Her communication is excellent. She answers any inquiries we have very promptly and offers regular updates on meals and nap times as well as photos of notable activities. Our little one is always very happy and excited to go to her which is saying something. I couldn't recommend her enough.

Vanessa has been absolutely amazing with my son. She is caring, reliable, understanding, and always supportive. Even when I call her at the last minute or I’m running late, she has always been there to help. She also helps with dropping off and picking up, which has been a huge support for me.My son is always happy and comfortable with her,and I truly appreciate all the care she gives him.I would highly recommend her to any parent.

Vanessa is very responsive, supportive, patient and caring. Her place is well organised.
We found her very urgently for after-school pick-up for my SEN child. She helped him settle very quickly and she helped to accommodate his needs.
