Looking for a Friday nanny in SE4
About Me
We’re looking for a nanny to join us for a full day every Friday, starting in September, to help with our two boys - one will be 1 year 2 months, and his brother turns 5 in September.
The one-year-old is at home on Fridays and needs full-time care: walks, play groups, playing at home etc.
Mum doesn’t work on Fridays so the responsibilities might change from week to week. On mornings when the baby is with mum, we’d like the nanny to help with cleaning the children’s rooms, sorting toys, and preparing meals for the children.
We’ll occasionally need the older boy picked up from school, which is within walking distance.
Depending on the day, the nanny may need to manage both children together in the afternoons.
We’re based in Crofton Park/Honor Oak Park (SE4), and we’re a trilingual family - English, Russian, and French are spoken at home.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a warm, flexible Friday nanny for our two children - a one-year-old (1.2) and an almost-five-year-old (starting school in September).
Hours: 9am to 6pm, every Friday.
With the baby (mornings, while mum is also home):
• Walking, playing, reading
• Taking him to playgroups
• Feeding, nappy changes, and settling him for naps - his schedule is currently shifting from two naps to one, so some flexibility week to week is appreciated.
If the baby is with the mum:
• Tidying the children’s rooms and sorting toys
• Preparing meals for the children
• Occasionally taking the older one to after-school activities, or out for walks.
In exceptional circumstances we might ask the nanny to look after both children.
Please note: the one-year-old will need to be carried up and down stairs.
We’re looking for:
• Experience with children under two
• DBS check and paediatric first aid (or willingness to obtain)
• References from previous families
