About Me
Welcome to Flow Montessori home nursery.
My name is Qiao. I am a registered childminder. I have been working within different Montessori early years settings for more than ten years as a qualified Montessori teacher. I believe children at a young age will benefit from a homely environment where they feel warm, secure, and loved in a relaxed atmosphere. Flow aims to create a Montessori learning environment where children can develop at their own pace when their mind is at their most absorbent in a loving, safe, homely, and nurturing environment. Flow wants and aims to provide a place where children have space and encouragement to grow and flourish into a well-grounded, loved, and valued for being themselves.
Flow Montessori welcomes children of all backgrounds and faiths and is rooted in an agenda of diversity and inclusivity. As a practicing Christian, my personal faith also shapes my own values and my ethos would really highlight this.
Flow Montessori also introduces the Mandarin language in the setting.
Flow Montessori is close to the local park and playground so the children will get plenty of outdoor activities to play and go on nature hunts.
My Experience
I have 16 years of experience working with young children in different Montessori early years settings. While I worked with children, I continued my professional development by attending Montessori training workshops in different areas of children's development. My education and experience enable me to establish a strong rapport with children and awaken their enthusiasm to explore new experiences. I am a caring person who loves making a difference in the lives of young children. I have experience in teaching children Mandarin in groups as well as individuals. I was also a trainee counsellor who had worked with children on a one-to-one basis in primary and secondary schools while I studied Child Psychotherapy and Counselling.

We started looking into finding a childminder for our son after having a bad experience with a nursery. Our then 2 year old was a very shy little boy who struggled to express himself but after going to Qiao she has really brought out his personality and voice. He loved going there and often didn't want to go home. We were absolutely delighted to have found Qiao and have recommended her to several people. Qiao is lovely. She is friendly and really attentive and personable. She has really helped our son develop in all areas and even worked with us whilst we were potty training him. Thank you so much, Qiao. You have really set the bar high as to what an exceptional childminder should be!
