I've recently had to step away from working professionally with children, but that certainly doesn't mean I've lost the joy that caring for children sparks for me. The last few years I have adored working full-time in private nurseries and have had fantastic experience with children aged from just a few months old right up-to starting 'big school' aged 5 years.
I will happily get stuck in doing anything and especially love going outside, anything creative, singing nursery rhymes, and telling many, many stories. I have a huge collection of resources I've collected and accumulated during my degree and as a nursery practitioner, and can't wait to share them with more children. It is important to me that children and young people have their voice listened to, which means I am child-led and know that any aged child can communicate their needs to adults.
I have a job with flexible hours, which means I am usually free any afternoon of the week. Hopefully you can use information in my profile to find a free way to message me. Providing I can be there in time, I am happy to do school pick-ups, daytime and evening babysitting, emergency babysitting, night-time routine, or anything that would be most helpful to you and your family.
My Experience
I've got bundles of experience with children aged under-5, I have experience in;
- Weaning
- Preparing and giving bottles
- Nappy changing
- Recognising when children are getting poorly (nappy rash, teething, chicken pox, etc.)
- Mealtimes
- Supporting independence skills
I have also worked as a special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) for a short period of time and have had key children with some additional needs, so I am confident looking after children who might need an extra helping hand. I have limited training on providing physical medical care, but I am sure I can quickly pick it up if you show me.
As well as being able to meet children's physical needs, I have spent hundreds of hours writing up development observations, two-year checks, helping with home learning, planning activities, and collecting evidence to support special educational needs diagnosing. Of course not all of my experience will be relevant to your child, but I like to be able to provide a holistic variety of care for the children I work with.

My Availability
Some of the hours may change slightly depending on how much work is left when my contracted hours are up, but generally I am free any day after 15:00. Some evenings I may be able to stay later, but I should be able to confirm specific times with you through messages.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
I will never charge for resources I bring or activities we do. My fees just have to cover the cost of travel, but this would be covered by the base rate I've stated.
