About Me

I have a strong desire to work with and care for young people. Being neurodiverse, I am able to provide heartfelt care, focus and deep empathy to many areas whether this be working with children, animals or other sectors of work.

Having completed my studies of A Level photography and Level 3 Health and Social Care in June 2022, I believe I have a firm understanding of the world from multiple perspectives.

I believe that a ‘one size fits all’ approach to childcare is simply ineffective. Getting to know and forming a positive relationship with you and your family would of course be a priority to me. I am more than happy to give you the opportunity beforehand to ensure you know that any care I deliver will be from the heart and to my best standard.

Additionally, I am completely comfortable around pets, having grown up with animals from horses to stick insects.

My number is in my full cv attached to my profile. Feel free to give me a message :)

My Experience

As I am autistic myself, I spent a large amount of my time in later education in a Learning Support environment. During this time, I formed friendships with people aged 11-18 with a variety of disabilities, for example, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebal palsy and autism. I spent time daily over 3 years mentoring a student who has Down’s syndrome, taking part in tasks such as role play, reading, spelling tests, art work, crafts and emotional support. Since I was a child I knew that I would absolutely love to work with children. This experience completely confirmed to me that working with children was something I wished to continue and develop into a career. As I have been through the education system as both an undiagnosed and diagnosed autistic (diagnosed at 15), I have comprehensive understanding of the struggles and methods in which can help prevent anxieties in disabled children. Whilst using my experience, I would always ensure each person is treated as an individual, taking into account their opinions, desires and needs.

Though my experience is predominantly with disabled children, I am more than confident to care for non-disabled children too.

I spent 1 year volunteering at a Rainbow girl guide group. During this time, I worked closely with a group of mainly 4-5 year olds assisting with tasks, activities and providing emotional support.

My Qualifications

I achieved 9 GCSE’s including English and Maths.

I have just finished college with a Distinction in Health and Social Care and an A in Photography.
