Welcome to Little Robins!
Hi, I'm Leanne, and I run Little Robins, an Ofsted-rated Good childminding setting where I provide a safe, loving and stimulating environment for children aged 0–3 years.
I'm passionate about helping little ones feel happy, secure and confident while they learn, explore and develop at their own pace. I believe every child deserves to feel special, valued and cared for, just as they would at home.
I'm married to Andy, who is a registered assistant, although he doesn't work alongside me at Little Robins. We also have our teenage son, Zack, who loves having little ones around and enjoys spending time with them when he's not at school.
Having used a childminder myself when Zack was younger, I understand how important it is to find the right childcare for your family. Leaving your little one in someone else's care can be a big step, and I want every parent to feel reassured and confident that their child is in safe, caring hands.
My aim is to create a genuine home-from-home environment where children can build close relationships, make friends, have fun and develop a love of learning from the very beginning.
What Makes Little Robins Special?
At Little Robins, your little one can enjoy a spacious, secure setting with a large, enclosed garden and a dedicated playroom filled with a wide variety of age-appropriate toys and resources.
Every day brings new opportunities to play, explore, discover and learn through a range of fun, engaging activities, including:
- Arts and crafts
- Sensory play and exploration
- Songs, rhymes and music
- Imaginative play and exciting new discoveries
- Outdoor play and adventures
We also enjoy regular outings to local parks, playgroups and soft play centres, giving children plenty of fresh air, new experiences and opportunities to explore the world around them.
Socialising is an important part of our day, too! We regularly meet with other childminders and their children, helping little ones develop friendships, build confidence and learn valuable social skills in a friendly, supportive environment.
Helping Little Ones Grow
I support each child's individual development, encouraging them to learn new skills, become more independent and grow in confidence at their own pace.
Our days naturally support three important areas of early development:
- Communication and language – developing listening skills, learning new words and expressing themselves.
- Personal, social and emotional development – building confidence, forming friendships and learning to understand their feelings.
- Physical development – strengthening coordination and movement through active play, outdoor adventures and hands-on activities.
Every little achievement is celebrated, from those first friendships and new words to growing independence and confidence. These early experiences help lay the foundations for a happy, healthy start in life and a positive transition to nursery and beyond.

My Experience
As a mum myself, I understand the importance of finding a caring, trustworthy and knowledgeable person to support your child’s early development. I recognise that every child is unique and deserves to feel safe, valued and supported in a nurturing environment.
I have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and how it promotes children’s learning, development and school readiness. My knowledge of child development enables me to recognise individual needs, support key developmental milestones and provide age-appropriate activities that encourage children to learn, explore and thrive at their own pace.
I am passionate about creating a positive, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child can build confidence, develop independence and reach their full potential.

I'm open Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 5:30pm
Funded places available (term-time only)
Please note: stretched funding is not offered, however holiday care is available, for children who are currently attending the setting.
