About Me
Part-Time Nanny / SEN Support – Summer Trial with Ongoing Role
We are looking for a kind, energetic and reliable nanny/support worker to spend time with our wonderful autistic, non-verbal daughter.
This role would suit someone with experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, or someone who is confident, patient and genuinely enjoys working with autistic individuals.
Our daughter is very active and loves being out and about, so we’re looking for someone who is physically fit, enthusiastic and able to keep up with her adventurous spirit. No personal care is required.
My Requirements
What we’re looking for:
* Experience supporting autistic children or individuals with SEN (preferred).
* A calm, patient and positive approach.
* Physically active and happy to spend time outdoors.
* Confident taking our daughter on local outings and engaging her in activities she enjoys.
* A full driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage.
The role may include:
* Local trips to parks, playgrounds and sensory-friendly activities.
* Swimming (if you’re a confident swimmer).
* National Trust visits, walks and outdoor adventures.
* Encouraging play, exploration and helping her enjoy the community in a safe and supportive way.
Hours:
We’re looking to trial the role over the summer holidays to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone. Following this, we’d like ongoing support with:
* After-school care during the week.
* Occasional daytime respite at weekends.
