Part-Time Nanny / SEN Childcare Role – Bangor, Co. Down
About Me
We are a friendly family in Bangor looking for a kind, reliable and experienced person to care for our two boys (aged 6 and 8) in our home.
My Requirements
We're seeking someone to work Wednesday to Friday, plus potentially Tuesday afternoons (approximately 3–3½ days per week), starting as soon as possible. Hours negotiable and can be discussed further.
This role would suit an experienced nanny, SEN support worker, classroom assistant or childcare professional who enjoys building positive relationships with children and providing a calm, nurturing environment.
Our youngest son has additional needs, so experience supporting children with SEN, autism and/or ADHD would be highly valued. Above all, we're looking for someone patient, adaptable and caring who can help both boys feel happy, secure and supported. He is a very energetic little boy who is strong and quick on his feet, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable with an active role and able to keep up with him to help ensure his safety during outings and play.
The role includes:
School and after-school club pick-ups from two local schools (full driving licence and own car essential)
Mileage/petrol costs paid
Providing a safe, fun and engaging after-school environment
Preparing simple meals and snacks
Supporting homework
Helping maintain a consistent after-school routine
There is the potential for additional hours during school holidays, including full-day childcare where mutually agreeable.
We are looking for the right person for the long term and hope to build a supportive, positive working relationship with someone who can become an important part of our family life.
This is an employed position with a competitive rate of pay, with employment terms to be discussed with the successful applicant.
