We hired Chloe to watch our little one 6 times, three times she never showed up and the other three she was late.
She offered to babysit for us a couple of weeks ago so we could go out to which we agreed and thought it would be nice. She then messaged at her arrival time to say she was stuck in traffic and then she never turned up or even bothered to read my messages so there was no excuse or apology and that was the last we heard. At first I was worried something had happened but now we realise she just didn’t want to come.
It’s extremely unprofessional and rude, especially as she messaged us first and offered.
I will say that Chloe is lovely and was great with my little one. She’s really enthusiastic and is good at keeping them entertained. However, if she wants to pursue a career caring for little ones then she needs to improve her professional behaviour and reliability. It would be of great benefit to do a childcare course as well so she can learn some new ways of playing with the younger ones that’s a bit more educational/sensory.
This could just be our experience but an apology would have gone a long way.
