Part Time Nanny Job in Winchester
About Me
We are a friendly family of four living in central Winchester, looking for a caring and organised nanny to become an important part of our busy family life. We’re both parents in our 40s and work primarily in London during the week (I will be returning to work in September after maternity leave).
We have two lovely daughters — a spirited 3-year-old and a happy 7-month-old baby. The girls are energetic, curious, and full of personality, so having a consistent weekday routine has always been important to us. We find structure helps the days run smoothly and creates a calm, happy environment for everyone.
Our home is warm, organised, and very tidy — we both value creating a calm space amidst the wonderful chaos that comes with young children! The girls absolutely love books and imaginative play, and we’d love someone who enjoys engaging with them creatively and encouraging their curiosity and development.
We are looking for someone kind, dependable, proactive, and nurturing who will feel like an extension of our family and enjoy being part of our daughters’ everyday lives.
My Requirements
At a minimum, we are looking for someone who can support us with the following schedule and responsibilities:
Monday mornings 7am: arrive at our home to help get both girls ready for nursery and school. Both locations are within walking distance, so walking with the buggy is absolutely fine.
Monday–Friday evenings (5pm–8pm): collect the children around 5.30pm, bring them home, and help manage the evening routine including dinner, bath time, and settling them for bed until we return home from work. Some days one parent may be working from home, but we would still appreciate support with the children’s routine.
As an additional bonus, we may also be interested in extending the role to include a full day on Mondays. In this case, our baby would stay home from nursery and we would love someone who is confident caring for a baby throughout the day, while also helping with light household tasks such as cooking, children’s laundry, tidying, and keeping the home running smoothly.
