Hello
I live in Sunderland and enjoy working creatively and will tailor learning to the specific needs of the pupil if necessary as I feel that this makes learning more interesting and meaningful for them. I have established excellent relationships with pupils in the past and have a sensitive, caring and thoughtful approach.
In the first session I carry out an assessment in order to get an idea of the needs of the pupil and use this as a trial lesson. Pupils (or the tutor) don’t have to continue unless they are happy with everything.
Cancellation policy - 24 hour’s notice or I have to charge for the session as I’ll have prepared for it.
My Experience
I have had approximately 30 year’s experience of teaching English and Maths and this has included helping pupils to prepare for the SATs tests and for GCSEs. I have worked with children and adults on a one to one basis and in groups and fully understand the needs of both.
I have had extensive experience teaching in schools and am therefore familiar with the requirements of the national curriculum at key stages 1,2 3 and 4.
I have a vast array of resources and past exam papers and can create resources that are tailor made for a specific pupil.
I have experience of online tuition mainly using zoom and am confident with online tuition.
