After School Nanny Job in Lilliput
About Me
We're a friendly family of four based in Lilliput, Poole. We both work in senior professional roles, and while our jobs can be busy, family time is really important to us. We have two children: Sam, who is 6, is sporty, creative and full of energy, with a love of performing arts, imaginative play and trying new activities. Avery will be 3 when the role begins and keeps us smiling with her love of princesses, dressing up, singing and all things colourful and fun. We also have a friendly Golden Retriever puppy, Juni, who will be around six months old.
As a family we enjoy getting outdoors, whether that's spending time at the beach, exploring the local area or visiting museums and places where the children can learn and play. We value kindness, curiosity and independence and try to strike a healthy balance between fun, routine and boundaries. We encourage active play and keep screen time limited and purposeful. We're looking for someone who shares those values and is looking to become a trusted, positive part of our family life.
My Requirements
SEEKING FOR A SEPTEMBER START
This is an opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and would like to build a meaningful relationship with a family on a long-term basis (we’re looking for a minimum of 1 year)
Both children attend school and nursery during the day, so support is primarily required around school and nursery pickups, after-school activities, meal preparation and helping to maintain a calm and happy routine.
Hours (TBC - but most likely):
Monday: 3:00pm–6:00pm
Thursday: 3:00pm–6:00pm
Friday: 3:00pm–6:00pm
Additional hours may occasionally be available by mutual agreement, for example during school holidays, on evenings when work commitments run later than expected, or to provide extra support when needed.
Responsibilities:
School and nursery pickups
Taking children to clubs, activities and playdates where required
After-school care, play and engagement
Serving healthy meals and snacks for the children (I will have organised the meals to be served)
Supporting reading, homework and age-appropriate learning
Providing dependable support around busy family schedules
