My Summary

My Experience

I have been working in residential childcare for almost 3 years now, this is working with a child with autism, ADHD and bipolar, and working with 2 other children who can present with challenging behaviours and have experienced severe trauma in their early childhood. In this job I work with children aged 12-14. This job focused a lot around safeguarding and behaviour management, aswell as taking therapeutic and trauma-informed practises.
I have 2 years experience working in a primary school, I have worked with children from nursery up to year 6. In this job I’ve worked with children all different ages who have autism and/or ADHD, some which are non verbal and other children who are generally challenging. I also have done support work. This support work was working with children/teenagers with additional needs. I’ve worked with a child who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, another child who is in their teens who has traits of autism and bipolar disorder. I have also worked with teenagers who have autism. I have also done baby sitting through this app previously for a family with 2 children.
I am due to graduate Portsmouth University in the Summer of 2026, with a BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies with Psychology. I have a place to train as a Primary School Teacher in September.

My Qualifications

I am currently studying at Portsmouth university doing ‘child and youth studies with psychology’

I have 3 alevels and 1 AS level
These qualifications are:
Psychology - C
Sociology- C
Medical science- C
Core maths- C

I also have all my GCSE’s, grade 4 and above.
