I’ve grown up in Paignton, and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such stunning coastal views. The beach is my happy place, and I love taking peaceful walks along the shoreline, feeling the fresh sea breeze and watching the waves. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, cooking up new recipes, and staying active through exercise. I’m also a big fan of soaking up the sunshine, whether that’s on a peaceful walk or just enjoying a sunny day outside.

I am now looking to transition into a nanny role, where I can build strong, meaningful relationships with both children and their families, while applying my skills in a more personal, home-based setting. My Experience
With coming up to 7 years of experience working in a nursery and a Level 3 qualification since the summer of 2021, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of early childhood development, particularly with children aged 6 months to 4 years old. My experience has given me the opportunity to work across all 7 areas of development—Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design—ensuring that each child’s unique needs and abilities are met.
In my role as an Early Years Practitioner, I’ve been responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. This includes planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery, and ensuring that the environment is organized and welcoming.
Building strong, positive relationships with both the children and their families is key to my approach. I aim to provide individualized support that nurtures each child’s growth, from offering emotional reassurance to encouraging independent learning. I also play a proactive role in ensuring that each child feels valued and understood, promoting inclusivity and respect for all.
As part of my responsibilities, I regularly assess children’s progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and carers, helping to identify areas of improvement and celebrate achievements. I am also committed to offering a variety of learning experiences, from quiet story sessions and arts and crafts to outdoor adventures and exploration. These activities not only foster creativity and imagination but also provide children with opportunities to develop their physical and social skills in a safe and engaging environment.
Overall, I am passionate about fostering a love for learning in children and ensuring that they are supported every step of the way in their development.
