About Me
I grew up in Sheffield and always had responsibilities from a young age, which helped me become independent, organised, and reliable as I got older. I come from a big blended family with an older brother and three step siblings, so I’m very used to different family dynamics and understand the importance of patience, communication, and getting along with everyone.
Family and friends are a big part of my life, and I love spending quality time with them whenever I can. My parents also have two horses, which is always great fun, and I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and spending time outdoors.
I’m a very easy going, patient, and caring person who genuinely enjoys helping others. Working with children is something I find incredibly rewarding, and I love watching them grow in confidence, learn new skills, and develop their own personalities. I’m excited to continue building my career in childcare and hope to become a trusted and positive part of the families I work with.
My Experience
I have experience as I said in my “about me” with being a childcare assistant helping prepare food and set up activities.
Overnight babysitter for a 4yr old girl with complex needs.
Parts of my role included
•Giving her the medication she needed on time each night
•Preparing meals taking into consideration of her allergies.
•Thinking ahead for activities we would do before bedtime instead of watching tv/tablet
•Making sure the house was clean for parent to come home too
•bedtime - shower / brush teeth.
P.A during the day time for a young girl age 10 with adhd , attachment issues and autism this was a great experience for me to gain lots of experience with special needs while helping me to develop and be able to think of activities on the spot as her concentration span was very low.
I am also , part time Community Nurse in hathersage which I love and have been doing for three years now.
