About Me
Welcome, parents and guardians. My name is Karlene Jenkins Williams, and I am the childminder and founder of Yaya’s Angelz Childcare, which has been Ofsted registered since August 2019. I am a proud mother of five and a grandmother of three, and I bring both personal and professional experience into the warm, nurturing environment I provide.
My Setting
Our childcare setting is based in my spacious four-bedroom home, where I live with three of my children. The dedicated nursery/childminding room is located on the ground floor and offers plenty of space for children to move, explore, and learn freely. The garden is spacious and clutter-free for outdoor play, with a slide, climbing frame, trikes, see-saw, cars, mud kitchen… and much more.
Children enjoy a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including:

• Writing boards
• Activity trays
• Bikes, cars, and climbing equipment
• A mud kitchen for sensory exploration
My goal is to create a home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy, and confident.
My Approach
Choosing a childminder is one of the most important decisions you will make in your child’s early years. At Yaya’s Angelz, I focus on:

My Experience
I bring 24 years of caregiving experience, including:
• 13 years supporting the elderly, autism, and challenging behaviour
• 1 year in nursery and reception classes in a primary school (work placement)
• 2 years as an Early Years Practitioner (ages 0–5)
• 1 year working with children aged 6–11 in an after-school club
• 7 years as an Ofsted registered childminder
This broad experience allows me to support children with different needs, personalities, and learning styles.
My Qualifications
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (EYE)
• Level 3 in Childminding
• Level 2 in Early Years Education and Care
• Paediatric First Aid
• Basic Child Protection
• Early Years Safeguarding (Designated Staff)
• Advanced Child Protection / DSL
• Level 2 Food Safety for Catering
• Creative Behaviour Management (SEN/D)
• BSc (Hons) International Business Management
My Availability
Yaya’s Angelz Childcare is open year-round:
• Mon–Fri: 07:00–19:00
• Sat: 08:00–17:00
• Sun: 08:00–17:00
Holiday closures include:
• Good Friday, Easter Monday
• Occasional holiday breaks are taken between August and December, in which 2 months’ notice will be given prior.
• Halloween early closure (31st October, 17:00)
• Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day
• New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
Out-of-hours care may be available upon request.

• Hazelwood Infant & Primary
Note: I am only available on some Thursdays, until the 10th of February, 2027.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
My fees are affordable and based on your childcare schedule. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a visit, and I will be happy to discuss the cost structure with you.

It's incredible, my baby was happy with her, I felt safe leaving my baby with her, she sent me photos and videos of my baby, she always made sure my baby was happy, she's fantastic, I recommend her 100%. You can always trust her, she will do the best for our children.

Our experience with Yayas Angelz has been exceptional. We've witnessed remarkable progress in our son's learning under her care. Her dedication and expertise have truly made a positive impact on his development. We are grateful for the wonderful job she has done and highly recommend her services to other parents seeking quality childcare.

I have been utilising Yayas Angelz for approximately 2 years during school holidays and before school hours. As a key hospital worker, I start work very early and knowing my child in well looked after allows me to carry out my job stress free. The services provided are excellent! My child is always happy and well looked after. He often asks me when he will go again as he has so much fun. I find that the activities are engaging, nurturing fun and tailored to your children's age/needs.
