About Me
Hi my name is Danielle and I am the owner of sharps little stars, you can also find me on facebook.
I live with my husband Anthony and our two children Reyland who is 10 and Lili who is 4, we also share our home with two cats, chow and maize. They are very friendly and love to spend most of their time outside.
I offer a home from home experience with hope that the children in my care don’t feel too overwhelmed, I believe that less is more, I have a lovely play room for the children to explore as-well as a fair sized garden for them to enjoy. I love to bake and enjoy baking with the children.
I love that our daily routine will allow us to be flexible and go on little adventures, we live within walking distance to a couple of local parks and also the woodlands to explore the wildlife. We have a local sure start group a short walk away and the library on our door step too, we also have a soft play centre local to us. I have a vehicle with the correct insurance so I can also take the little ones out further afield on some days.
I work closely with parents and encourage home achievements to be shared so these can be added to their personal learning journeys. I believe it’s important to have a great relationship with the parents as communication is the main factor to the children being settled and happy.
I have chosen to offer school drop offs and pick ups for Leslie Manser school only.

My Experience
I first started out as a hairdresser for some years before becoming a carer in the community for the elderly, I had my children and changed my career to benefit us all as a family, that’s when I started working with children, i have experience working with children that have additional needs and physical disabilities as I worked in a SEND school this role was very rewarding and enjoyable.
My Qualifications
- Level 3 Home-based child care qualification
- Level 3 teaching assistant qualification
- Level 2 health and social care qualification
- Trained in Lego therapy
- Level 2 food hygiene
- Safeguarding trained
- Continuous CPD with certificates
- Level 3 Paediatric first aid trained
- I have also just finished a 8 week course with a speech and language therapist to gain more knowledge and to support the little ones.

I’m glad I was recommended to use Danielle as my childminder. Since my daughter has been attending she has come on leaps and bounds. Danielle has always been there to support where needed. Even to the little details of toilet training, Danielle has gone out of her way to ensure that my daughter feels comfortable to toilet train while being at Danielle’s house.
Danielle has always helped with advice and is so friendly and trustworthy, 100% recommend to anyone

My son has been going to Danielle for over a year now and I’m so glad we found her! Danielle goes above and beyond to make sure my son is well looked after and his needs are met. He’s has built up a really nice relationship with Danielle and her family and we will be forever grateful of her help 😊❤️
