About Me

Hello future families :)

My name is Ella and I'm a 27 year old highly educated English-speaking nanny with a wealth of experience working both with families and big groups of children. I am seeking an after school/ part time role whilst I complete my studies at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to embarking on my MA in History, I was a student at the University of Cambridge so I hope to be able to serve as a great role model to your children.

Prior to starting my undergrad, I had spent the past four years working in childcare in London; however, the chaotic state of the rental market coupled with a need for a change of scenery led me to relocating to the New Town area in Edinburgh.

I have over six years experience working in childcare- originally as an au pair and, following the pandemic, as an after- school nanny. I've also worked in professional settings (I've done a few seasons in holiday camps working with 4-6 year olds) as well as private settings, and I've cared for children between the ages of 4 and 16. During my spare time I enjoy exploring what Scotland has to offer, reading classic novels and testing internet recipes.

The practical bit:
- I am DBS checked
- I have a certificate in paediatric first aid (however, it has recently ran out as of last month)
- I do not drive, but I am physically fit and able
- I am ideally looking for 10 hours a week (this can be a mix of childcare and household work, or solely childcare). I am also open to ad hoc babysitting.
