About Me

Hi there!
I’m a qualified Ofsted registered childminder in Gloucester.
I am very passionate about working with children and I cannot believe I embarked on this exciting adventure two years ago now! I honestly don’t know where the time has gone- it has flown by!

I had my first Ofsted Inspection last month and I’m pleased to say that it went very well.

I have completed and passed all of the required and relevant courses including safeguarding, Paediatric first aid and Food hygiene plus many extras and often attend courses and webinars to further extend my knowledge. I am of course up to date on the latest guidance around safer eating, safer sleeping, screen time and safeguarding.

I have 3 sons of my own, the youngest who has just started school age 4, middle son age 10 and the eldest is 13. I come from a large family so have lots of experience with looking after boys and girls of all ages.

We have 2 male pugs who the children adore and who also adore the children!

I have a purpose built garden cabin with a sheltered decking area which is within a fully enclosed large garden and is not overlooked by anybody.

We get out in the garden come rain or shine as I have a large retractable awning which covers the patio area and is SP50.

I have lots of exciting and engaging toys, resources and equipment including a small climbing frame with slide, outdoor water tables, potion station, sandpits, mud-kitchen, ride ons, diggers, a large vegetable patch which the children are encouraged to tend to, a play kitchen, book corner, instruments, lots of different types of role play plus so much more!

I set up weekly/ daily themes in the living room and seasonal themes in the cabin and use tough trays regularly with a whole variety of exciting themes for the children to explore.

We do lots of Messy play and sensory play which the children love!

As well as the cabin and the garden, the children make use of the family living room each morning and before picked up to go home and also for naps. They have snack and lunch in my kitchen diner sat in high chairs/ low chairs when they are very young and progressing to the children’s table and chairs when they are old enough/ capable to do so.

We go for a walk to the local fields, nature area and/ or parks on a daily basis. We collect conkers, acorns, pinecones in the autumn and blackberries in the summer and often take balls with us to have a kick around.

We also do the occasional day trip to soft plays, adventure parks and farms etc.

I send daily WhatsApp or FB messengers photos to you around lunch time so that you can see what your child has been up to and send any additional Wow moments to you as and when!

I provide healthy snacks and cooked lunches or your child can bring their own foods if you prefer.

I am open between 8am and 5:30pm
Monday- Thursday

Government funding and tax free childcare accepted.
